gooseberry herbal healing

Buah cermai or gooseberry (Phyllanthus acidus (L.) Skeels.)

Pharmacological Effects: Leaves Cerme efficacious for cathartic and nausea medications, asthma and roots to young leaves for thrush. Nature - anti-inflammatory, anti-inflammatory, to prevent vomiting. Seeds and roots are "purgans" strong.
Plant part used: leaves, young leaves and roots.
Method of cultivation: plant propagation by using a seed. Maintenance is easy, it needs enough water to those ways of watering elbow, keeping moisture and fertilizer (do not use chemical fertilizers).

Chemical properties: Rich chemical constituents include leaves, stems: Tannins, saponins, flavonoids and polyphenols. The wood: Tannins, saponins, flavonoids, polyphenols and alkaloids.

The traditional recipe:

1. Intestinal-mismanagement: 
The leaves as much as about 3 grams of washed, dried, finely crushed and brewed with 1/2 cups boiled water, and drink it all.
2. Nausea: 
A few leaves chewed, swallowed water and the waste is disposed.
3. Asthma: 
Dried roots 1 g finely ground, brewed with hot water, drinking (be careful because the roots are somewhat toxic).
4. Sprue: 
like no. 2
5. Obesity: 
the tea leaves are dried Cermai, the use should be limited and in case of side effects.
